As part of the Treasured Places: 100 years of RCAHMS exhibition, we have produced a series of audio descriptions/podcasts to complement each of the Top Ten Treasured Places as chosen in the public vote. Please view the podcasts below.
Each podcast and associated image can be downloaded and played for
free on iPods, MP3 players or computers. If you put the files on to a
portable device, you can then take it with you to the City Art Centre,

Also in this section you can view a 3D visualisation of archaeological sites recently surveyed by RCAHMS in the Pentland Hills, south of Edinburgh. The movie gives a flavour of the range in age and type of archaeological sites commonly recorded by the landscape survey team for addition to the RCAHMS archive. The second part of the movie details the fort at Castlelaw which dates from the Iron Age, the site is considered to be a fine example of its type.
